These specimens are mice that I found at the
local Petco on Wilshire Boulevard. Mice are r-strategists as they are relatively small bodied, have short life spans, and have a high
reproduction rate. An r-strategist is
a species characterized by having rapid development, small body size, and high
reproduction rate.
